Who lives there?

Ricky Butler, along with his parents. Throughout the film Ricky's parents were away, and Ricky has been given the job of painting the house. Throughout the film (which takes place over a whole week), he only manages to paint a little part of one of the porch columns, red (which totally clashes with the rest of the house!).
