The TV series Eerie, Indiana often feels a lot like The 'Burbs, some of it thanks no doubt to Joe Dante.
The movie Gremlins and Gremlins 2 have several cast members from The 'Burbs, particularly Gremlins 2 which has Rick Ducommun, Henry Gibson, Dick Miller and Robert Picardo. If you look at the deleted scenes on the Gremlins 2 DVD, you can see the "Rosebud" sleigh. This also appears in the Klopek's basement in The 'Burbs.
