The 'Burbs was not released on HD-DVD and as of November 2010 has not been released on Blu-ray. It has been broadcast in HD resolutions (1080i/720p) on television channels. The next-best quality down from HD is the Region 2 PAL release.

The HD transfer that I am aware of is very good quality, with a minor amount of film grain but nothing too serious. Audio is still 2-channel matrixed Dolby Surround. Night-time scenes do not show as much difference in quality as the brighter scenes, mainly due to the film grain.
